ASCENSION THURSDAY                                                                      Thursday 13th May 2021 is Ascension Thursday. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. We shall have two Masses at 10.00am and 8.00pm

The Sixth Sunday of Easter is the Day of Prayer for Eastern Christians when Eastern and Western Christians come together in communion through prayer.
During the Prayers of the Faithful today, we shall pray for Eastern Christians. If you wish to support them through the projects of the Eastern Catholic Churches, please donate by:

CAFOD                                                                                                             As coronavirus brings devastation across India, CAFOD is working with experienced local Church agency, Caritas India, to provide vital support to poor and marginalised communities. Donations to CAFOD’s Coronavirus Appeal will help Caritas India distribute PPE kits to frontline health workers, promote COVID & vaccine awareness campaigns, and set up safely run isolation & quarantine centres. MAY DEVOTIONS                                                                                        From 1st May we shall be having Rosary everyday by 6pm in the church and online except on Saturday when we shall have it before the Evening Mass.

Confirmation classes resume on Wednesday 5th May 2021 at 6:30pm 

Confession – Saturday 15th May 2021 at 10:30 am (All candidates should attend)

 Rehearsal- Group 1: Wednesday 19th May 2021at 6:30pm

 Rehearsal – Group 2: Friday 21st May 2021 at 6:30pm 

 Confirmation Mass – Group 1: Sunday 23rd May 2pm. 

 Confirmation Mass – Group 2: Sunday 23rd May 5pm. 



Rite of Christian initiation of Adults is for adult converts to Catholicism who are yet to be baptised or received into the Church. It is open to those who are wishing to become Catholics. It is also open to Catholics who wish to deepen their understanding of the Catholic teachings, dogma, practices and faith. Any of these persons who is interested in the course should please pick a Form from the parish office or at the exit of the church.

Please complete it and return on or before the last day of the month of May.



We expect every  parishioner to complete this Form to enable us to update our  database  information on parishioners. This is very important for many reasons, including the signing of School Forms in the future. Those who may have any challenges with the completion of the Form should contact the Parish Office for assistance. The school would like to inform parishioners that there is ongoing enrolment for Nursery admissions in September 2021. The school offers 15 or 30 hours and are open to admissions at this time. Interested parishioners can apply either by downloading the supplementary form from the school website ( or contact the school office for a hard copy.

Church Food Supplies

Considering this inconvenient time and its impacts on us all, we in St. Elphege’s Catholic Church, Wallington have decided to give a helping hand and support to individuals and families that may be in need of food and other supplies. We are grateful to all those who have contributed to this effort. We encourage those in need to come forward on Mondays, Fridays (10. 30 am – 12. 30 pm) and Sundays (11. 30 am – 12.30 pm) to collect what they need. Be assured of our prayers for you all at this life-altering time. The Lord is good, all the time! And all the time, the Lord is good!! Here is the list of food needed.

Face mask

In accordance with the Prime Minister’s 31st July 2020 announcement,   all Parishioners are requested to wear a face mask when entering the

Altar Servers

Due to COVID, Altar Servers are not able share Albs. Please contact the Parish Office to arrange collection of an Alb for your child’s sole use while they are Altar Servers. The Alb should be thoroughly washed (and ironed) before they are used.




Please note that Reconciliation now takes place in the Lady Chapel on every Saturday between 10:30 am -11:30 am & 5:15 pm to 6 pm.
